SkillSelect Insights: June 2024 Visa Invitation Round and Nomination Statistics
The digital platform SkillSelect is utilized by the Australian Government for skilled individuals who wish to apply for a visa to live and work in Australia. To be eligible for a skilled visa, individuals must receive an invitation, which can be initiated by submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) that outlines their work experience and qualifications. The process of submitting an EOI is straightforward and only requires providing personal information without uploading any documents. SkillSelect is suitable for those looking to apply for various visa categories, such as Skilled Independent, Skilled Nominated, Skilled Work Regional (Provisional), and Business Innovation and Investment visas.
SkillSelect Invitation Rounds
Periodic invitation rounds for the Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) and Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) – Family Sponsored are conducted throughout the program year. The number of invitations issued in each round is subject to variation based on the volume of applications under processing by the Department. It’s important to note that the invitation rounds for state or territory government nominations for skilled visas remain unaffected by the Department’s invitation rounds.

Occupation Ceilings
For independent and skilled regional (provisional) visas, an ‘occupation ceiling’ is set to establish a reasonable upper limit on the number of invitations for skilled migration within specific occupation groups. This measure, based on a percentage of employment figures provided by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, ensures a balanced skilled migration program by inviting expressions of interest from various skilled occupations. Notably, occupation ceilings do not affect State or Territory Nominated or Business Innovation and Investment visa subclasses.

Testimonials
Simran Simran
I am excited to share my exceptional experience with KnN Migration Advisors regarding their professionalism and service quality. Although I may struggle to capture all the details, here’s a summary: I contacted Nidhi Mam at the end of April 2024 because I was only receiving points for one year of experience instead of the three years I was entitled to. After thoroughly reviewing my documents, she resubmitted my ACS assessment through a pilot launch program in ACS, which I wasn’t aware of earlier, leading to a successful outcome. She diligently followed up with ACS to address any delays, and, as a result, I received points for three years of experience and got an invitation on June 13, 2024. Nidhi Mam also ensured I promptly scheduled my medical exams and obtained the PCC, leading to a visa grant on August 22, 2024, with no additional requests from the case officer. Her personal attention and professionalism were crucial in securing a direct grant in less than two months after lodging the visa application on June 26, 2024.
Her expertise is truly impressive; she grasps clients’ needs and offers personalized guidance with genuine care.
