Subclass 189 Visa Invitation Round - August 2025
The latest nomination round for the Subclass 189 visa was done on 21st August 2025. This is first Invitation round that happened this year after a long silenece. Some previous Invitation rounds happened in November 2024, September 2024 & June 2024.
Though November and September 2024 invitation round saw 15,000 and 16,900 invitations respectively under 189; this invitation round was way less i.e. 6,887 invitations only under 189.
There were some very interesting observations e.g. NO invite to ICT professionals. There could be multiple reasons to it, however from what we saw in different communications with different bodies, we strongly believe ICT professionals will be invited in upcoming invitation rounds.
Also to note there were 150 Invitations under Family Sponsored stream as well; reversing the trend seen in past where there were 0 invitations seen.
