Australia Subclass 189 Visa - November 2024 Invitation Round Summary

Subclass 189 Visa Invitation Round - November 2024

The latest nomination round for the Subclass 189 visa was completed in Australia on November 7th, 2024. This is third Invitation round happened this year – where previous Invitation rounds happened in September 2024 & June 2024. This visa category is designed to attract highly skilled professionals to support the country’s economic growth and development. Candidates nominated in this round met the stringent criteria required for permanent residency, showcasing their qualifications, work experience, and other relevant factors.

The November 2024 invitation round of Subclass 189 visa has seen approximately 15,000 individuals invited to apply. This is slightly lower than the 16,900 invitations projected under Australia’s 2024-2025 migration program cap. The higher number of invitations issued is due to various reasons, such as a significant number of EOIs going to waste for reasons including applicants lodging multiple EOIs, overclaiming points, having expired English language test results, or already lodging other visa applications. These issues lead to many EOIs being discarded, which allows for additional invitations to be issued to other qualified candidates.inv
